We are launching eight exciting new Kickstart paid work placements at an Interview Open Day on 3rd February.
As a community organisation, we place huge value in investing in people and enabling them to thrive. So we are pleased to be launching eight new roles for 16-24 year olds in receipt of Universal Credit, through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.
Kickstart roles are six-month paid job placements for 25 hours per week. They are a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain skills and insight into working in housing, alongside our knowledgeable and friendly teams.

How to apply
To apply for one of these six-month paid placements, please contact your Work Coach at your Jobcentre and quote the job titles of any of our vacancies that you would like to be interviewed for. Your Work Coach will then be able to arrange to get you booked in for an interview.
Please be aware that the interviews for these roles are being booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Interviews will be in person unless a change in COVID restrictions results in a move to an online interview.
About Kickstart
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment. Click here for further information on the scheme.
Here at Southway, we have had a number of Kickstarters join the organisation and flourish! Want to know what life is like for Southway’s Kickstart employees? You can read more about the journey of a Kickstarter here.
