Brexit will take effect on 1st January 2021, creating a number of changes to UK businesses, travel and our everyday lives. You can learn more about preparing for Brexit, here.
If you are an EU, EEA or EFTA Citizen living in the UK, and you do not have a British passport, you will need to confirm your immigration status by applying to the EU Settlement Scheme. It’s free to apply and, if your application is successful, you will receive either settled or pre-settled status. Both of these will mean you can continue living in the UK after Brexit takes full effect.
If you don't apply, there is a very real risk that you will no longer be able to work in the UK, receive NHS treatments or claim benefits after Brexit, so we strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
The deadline to apply is 30th June 2021. You can begin your application here.
