New events and opportunities coming up on our Southway Board and Panel
Have you always wanted to make a difference where you live? This could be ideas on how to shape and design Southway services. Maybe you have ideas on how we can better serve tenants and residents? We want to hear from you!
We’re looking for more residents to get involved. We want to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds to make sure we fully represent our communities. There are lots of different opportunities to be involved with Southway, with varying levels of time and commitment required.
This includes current vacancies for Southway tenants on the Southway Board and our Tenant Scrutiny Panel as well as voluntary opportunities with our Community Champions.
Training and qualifications can be provided and expenses paid. Supported by Southway staff, this is a great voluntary opportunity for gaining panel experience.
Interested?
Come and meet our current board, committee and scrutiny panel members to find out more about how it all works at our next events:
Tuesday 29th March 4pm-8pm
Westcroft Community Centre, 24-26 Westcroft Road, M20 6EF
Thursday 31st March, 10am-2pm
Southway’s Office, Southern Gate, 729 Princess Road, M20 7LT
Community Champions
We are relaunching our community champions! The idea of Community Champions is to create a positive link between tenants and Southway. The Community Champion volunteers are friendly faces to represent Southway out in the community and encourage people to access support or get involved. Interested in becoming a volunteer? Come along to our launch event!
We are holding a session to launch Community Champions on Monday 28 March at Westcroft Community Centre, 1pm to 4pm. Lunch will be provided and there will be a free raffle and games. Get in touch to book a space.
If you’re interested, get in touch with us today, or come to one of our events.
