Southway Housing Trust is committed to working with organisations to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour and make our communities safer.

At the start of ASB Awareness Week we want to thank tenants, other local people, and our Community Safety Partnership colleagues who work with us.  We know other statutory agencies may be better placed to respond to many ASB incidents, especially where a criminal offence has occurred.

Any actions we carry out will always be taken in partnership as part of a coordinated response to ensure community safety.

The partners we work with include Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and a number of teams within Manchester City Council including:

  • Anti-social Behaviour Action Team
  • Environmental Health
  • Social Services (including Children’s Services, Adult Social Care)
  • Neighbourhoods Team

We also work with the with NHS Mental Health Services, the Probation Service and Youth Services.

We will continue to work with tenants, local communities and partners, as we understand the negative impact that ASB can have if it is left unchallenged. If you report ASB to us we will treat your complaint seriously, respectfully and anonymously if you wish.

You can find out more about our approach on ASB here.
