We're thrilled to announce that Southway will be proudly marching in the Manchester Pride Parade again this summer… and you're invited! 

Manchester Pride is one of the UK's leading LGBTQ+ charities and, as an organisation, w share their vision of a world where everybody is free to live and love without prejudice. We're honoured to be part of this amazing event that celebrates equality and challenges discrimination; values that sit at the heart of the work we do here at Southway.

Our participation in the parade highlights our commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and promoting equality for everyone. It's a brilliant opportunity for us to come together, have fun, and show our support for a cause that's so important to our vision of building thriving communities. 

Get involved

Like last year, we're looking for enthusiastic tenants to join us in the parade - whether you've marched before or it's your first time at Pride, everyone is welcome. Even better - this year, our application for a float was approved, so we want to make our effort even bigger and brighter. 
Remember, you don't have to be a member of the LGBTQ+ community to join us – in fact, we need allies and EDI champions more than ever. Your support helps make our community stronger and more inclusive for everyone.

This year’s theme, ‘Buzzin’ to be Queer’, perfectly captures the energy and spirit of Manchester Pride. It also ties into our South Manchester roots - as a housing association, we're quite unique in that we're based right in the heart of our community, and a bee hive is a perfect representation of that. Just like the worker bees that symbolise our wonderful city, we understand the power of community and collaboration.
