Southway tenants over 50 can access support from our Housing and Care Options Advisor, who can help you by looking at all of your housing needs.
Perhaps your current home is too big for you now that your children have left? Or you live above the ground floor and are struggling to get in and out of your home due to mobility issues?
It is the role of our Housing and Care Options Advisor’s to work with you alongside other agencies to find the best possible solution. For equipment and / or adaptations to remain independent at home, contact Manchester City Council for an assessment.
Extra support over the winter months
As we approach winter, it's more important than ever to ensure our homes are well-maintained, safe and warm. Manchester Care & Repair offer free help and advice on home maintenance, including:
- Advising on affordable energy suppliers
- Installing hand rails, to prevent falls
- Small DIY jobs around the house.
